Experience
I majored in German and linguistics, with a minor in Chinese at Middlebury College, graduating in 2008. Since then, I have been tutoring, attending school at Walsh College for a degree in international business, and starting a language school for the Detroit area. I am capable of teaching a number of languages, including German I-IV, French and Spanish I,II, and III, Mandarin Chinese I and II, Swedish, Dutch, and Danish. I not only help a student to pass tests in the language, but also learn to speak it as a second language. Because of my background in linguistics, I am also able to teach reading, writing, and grammar. Additionally, I can help foreign language speakers become fluent in English.In my personal time, I enjoy fitness, travel, and anything to do with the outdoors. I swim and ride a bike for fitness, go on camping and backpacking excursions, and travel both nationally and internationally as much as possible. I also enjoy reading good literature from around the world, doing a bit of fiction writing, handling the business aspect of the language school, and discussing philosophy while at a coffee shop or out to dinner with friends. I currently reside in Plymouth, Michigan.
